Drifting south again
The last of the crossings, then the long move back south as the short rains build.
October is a transition. Some crossings still happen early in the month, but the herds begin working south and east through the Lobo area as the first short rains green the plains ahead of them.
It is hot and very dry until the rains break. Resident game viewing across the park is superb because water is at its scarcest.
