Hadzabe and Datoga visit
Best: All year · Half day, very early start
One of the last hunter-gatherer peoples in Africa, near Lake Eyasi.
The Hadzabe live around Lake Eyasi and still hunt with bow and arrow. A visit means joining a hunting party at first light and walking with them — it is genuinely strenuous and it is not a performance, which is exactly why it is worth doing. Usually combined with the Datoga blacksmiths nearby.
