The herds follow the rain, so their position changes through the year. Calving takes place on the plains around Ndutu in February, the herds reach the Grumeti River in June, and the Mara River crossings usually run from July to September.

For July to September, nine to twelve months if you want the better camps. For the green season, three to four months is usually enough. We can occasionally work at much shorter notice.
No. Everything we do is private — your own vehicle, your own guide, your own pace. If you want to share costs with friends or family we will build the group for you.
Yes, and camps do this well — but tell us in advance. A camp two hours from the nearest shop cannot improvise on the day.
US dollars, which is the operating currency of the Tanzanian safari industry. We can show an indicative figure in another currency, but the contract price is in dollars.
For travellers, yes, with ordinary precautions in towns. In the camps and parks, crime is essentially not a concern. See our health and safety guide, and check your own government's current travel advice.
