Everything else on this list is an addition to game drives, not a replacement for them. In a private vehicle you set the pace: if a leopard is in a tree you stay, and if the road is quiet you keep moving. Most days run early morning and late afternoon, with the middle of the day back at camp out of the heat — which is also when the animals rest.
